Edition 2025 — Frequenz Festival
The 6th edition of the Frequenz Festival Kiel took place in May 2025. As in previous years, the festival utilized several venues across the city for concerts, sound installations, and cross-genre performances of contemporary music. International composers and ensembles were featured, and a series of premieres expanded the repertoire of New Music.
The 2025 edition built upon the established festival concept: sound, space, and media as a shared subject of reflection for contemporary artists. Venues were spread across the Kulturforum, Muthesius Kunsthochschule, Hansa 48, and other locations.
With each year, the festival's international visibility grows — 2025 underscored this development with numerous premieres and guests from around the world once again.
