A deliberate decision by the artistic direction, pausing the Freilichtspiele's usual double-production concept for one season and instead focusing on an intensive staging with full stage capacity.
The production showcased the Freilichtspiele's genre breadth — from comedies and family theatre to horror classics. The success of the "Dracula" staging, with over 20,000 visitors again, confirmed the curatorial decision. For the 2026 season, the Freilichtspiele will return to the proven double-production format.
