Overview

The Freiburg Fasnet 2025, like every year, ran from "Schmutziger Donnerstag" to Ash Wednesday, featuring street Fasnet, jester balls, and the Grand Rose Monday Parade. Over 4,000 costumed participants from more than 120 guilds in the Swabian-Alemannic region took part in the parade. The organizer was the Breisgauer Narrenzunft.

Fasnet 2025

As every year, "Schmutziger Donnerstag" opened the street Fasnet in Freiburg, with school "stormings" in the morning and the "Hemdglonkerumzug" in the evening. Over the weekend, witch dances and jester balls took place in the city center. On Rose Monday, the Grand Parade with over 4,000 costumed participants from 120+ guilds marched through Kaiser-Joseph-Straße.

The Fasnet concluded on Ash Wednesday with the "Geldbeutelwäsche" on Rathausplatz and the traditional mourning procession. As every year, the organizer was the Breisgauer Narrenzunft e.V.
