Overview

The 16th Freiberger Sommernächte in 2025 once again offered three months of open-air programming at Schloss Freudenstein. Concerts, theatre, comedy, cabaret, film nights, and family activities attracted thousands of visitors from Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt to the silver city in the Erzgebirge foothills — as every year from early June to late August.

16th Freiberger Sommernächte 2025

In 2025, Schloss Freudenstein was once again the cultural heart of Freiberg. Three months of programming — from early June to late August — combined concerts by Saxon bands and Schlager artists with cabaret from Leipzig and Dresden, an open-air cinema series, and family activities. Even then, the festival, with its unique mix of classic and modern formats, held a unique position in the Middle Saxon region.

For 2026, the Sommernächte are expanding with the World Cup and new flea markets, adding their own program lines.
