Overview

The Autumn Edition of the FREI ART Festival took place from September 15 to 21, 2025, at Studio Pro Arte Merzhausen. A week of performances, workshops, seminars, and the Choreographers Summit, featuring over 150 international submissions, characterized this edition. The Spring Edition 2026 will follow from April 30 to May 3.

Autumn 2025 with Choreographers Summit

The Autumn 2025 edition had a different thematic focus than the Spring Edition: the main focus was the Choreographers Summit, an industry meeting for choreographers, with over 150 international applications. For seven days, dance professionals gathered at Studio Pro Arte for intensive networking, workshop discussions, and mutual performances — a constellation that has established Studio Pro Arte as one of the important dance houses in southern Baden-Württemberg.

Building on 2025 for the Spring Edition 2026

The insights and contacts gained from the Choreographers Summit will flow directly into the Spring Edition 2026 — especially the Open Stage on May 2, 2026, will accept applications from the Summit network. The connection between the Autumn and Spring editions is a core concept of the festival.
