Overview

In August 2025, the ARGE Schielberger Vereine again enlivened the Convent Garden of the Frauenalb monastery ruins. The program included two days of live music, show dancing, and a family afternoon — the Monastery Days had re-established themselves as an annual summer highlight in the Albtal valley after their 35th comeback edition in 2023.

Summer 2025 in the Monastery Ruins

The Frauenalb Monastery Days 2025 took place on a weekend in August at the Marxzell-Schielberg monastery ruins. The organizer was again the ARGE Schielberger Vereine, the umbrella organization of the district's music club, sports club, fire department, and heritage society. In the Convent Garden of the monastery ruins, the festival setting between the mighty wall remnants of the former collegiate church offered an atmosphere that few summer festivals in Baden-Württemberg can match.

As in previous years, the focus was on live music by regional bands, show dance groups from the Albtal valley, and a family program on Sunday afternoon. Catering featured Baden and Swabian classics, draft beer, and wine from regional vineyards.
