Edition 2025 — Wandermarathon Frankenwald
The 13th edition of the Frankenwald Wandermarathon took place on June 7, 2025, with 555 participants, all sold out. Approximately 42 km through the Frankenwald Nature Park, over the Rennsteig and the Haßlachtal valley with catering and live music at the stations.
The 2025 Wandermarathon started in cool but stable hiking weather at the Rennsteighalle Steinbach am Wald. The 13th edition sold out within a few days. Participants completed the challenging 42 km through forest, valley, and heights; live bands provided a good atmosphere at the refreshment stations. The event confirmed its reputation as one of Northern Bavaria's most important hiking events.
