Overview

The 24th Fränkische Schweiz-Marathon took place on September 7, 2025, in Ebermannstadt. Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km Run, Relay Marathon, Run & Bike, Handbike Marathon, and Children's Runs on the B470, closed to traffic for the occasion. Volksfest atmosphere along the entire route between Walberla and Neideck – one of Germany's most established landscape marathons.

The 24th edition in 2025 once again offered the proven mix of sports event and Volksfest. On the B470, closed to traffic for the occasion, the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km Run, Relays, Run & Bike, Handbike, and Children's Runs took place. Tens of thousands of spectators lined the course, with brass bands and music groups accompanying the athletes.

Preparations for the 25th anniversary edition in 2026 began immediately after the finish of the 24th edition. With the first participant limit for the anniversary, the Fränkische Schweiz-Marathon e.V. association is responding to the growing popularity and the environmental requirements for the narrow federal highway.
