Overview
The 21st folkBALTICA took place in May 2025 in Flensburg and the German-Danish border region. Around 30 concerts at various venues once again brought together Nordic and Baltic folk music — from classics of the Danish and Swedish scene to young acts from the Baltic states.
folkBALTICA 2025 continued its 20-year tradition: nine days of folk and crossover in churches, cultural centers, and castle courtyards in Flensburg and the German-Danish border region. The folkBALTICA Ensemble, the folkBALTICA Choir, and numerous international guests filled the program. With around 6,000 visitors, folkBALTICA remained one of Northern Europe's most important folk festivals in 2025, attracting audiences from Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Scandinavia to Flensburg.
