Overview
The 44th Flensburger Rum Regatta took place from May 29 to June 1, 2025, in the Museum Harbour. Dozens of historic gaff-rigged sailing ships from Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands gathered for the Herring Regatta, Fjord Regatta, and the main regatta. The harbour festival at the Museum Harbour attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the fjord over the four days.
The 44th Rum Regatta once again demonstrated why Flensburg becomes the European capital of wooden sailing ships in early summer. The traditional programme — arrival on Thursday, Herring Regatta on Friday, Fjord Regatta on Saturday, and the main regatta on Sunday — was framed by an extensive harbour festival. Live music, crew evenings, and a dense crowd of visitors characterized the Museum Harbour over the four festival days.
