Overview

The Flachsmarkt Linn Castle 2025 took place as every year on Pentecost weekend. Three days of medieval crafts with 300+ exhibitors, knight encampment, and music – around 45,000 visitors came to the castle district of Krefeld. Pentecost on the Lower Rhine traditionally belonged to Krefeld-Linn. Three days of medieval crafts live in the castle setting, with 45,000 visitors from the Rhine-Ruhr region, the Netherlands, and Bergisches Land.

The 2025 edition continued the Pentecost tradition of Germany's largest craft market, which has grown over decades. 300 craftspeople, knight encampments, and children's hands-on activities characterized the weekend.

Over 300 craftspeople presented their trades LIVE: flax spinners, hand weavers, saddlers, rope makers, blacksmiths, woodturners, potters, felt makers, basket weavers. Knight encampments with camp life, sword fights, and reenactments. Medieval music with bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, and Renaissance ensembles. Hands-on activities for children (woodturning, pottery, felting, blacksmithing, drumming). The KombiTicket with public transport ticket facilitated travel.

Programme

Three days of Pentecost market with 300+ craftspeople live, knight encampment, medieval music, and Family Day on Pentecost Saturday.
