Filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern — Edition 2025

In 2025, the Filmkunstfest Mecklenburg-Vorpommern entered its 34th edition. From May 6th to 11th, Schwerin transformed once again into a city of film — the Filmpalast Capitol and other cinemas in the city center presented a diverse program of German-language cinema. The four competitions for feature films, documentaries, short films, and children's and youth films formed the backbone of the festival, with expert juries and the audience awarding the prizes. The festival week was accompanied by special series, industry meetings, and open-air cinema. The organizer was, as usual, Filmland MV gGmbH.
