Overview
The premiere edition of Filmfest Aachen in 2025 took place in September 2025 — the launch of the new Aachen Film Festival at the Apollo Cinema on Pontstraße. First curated program sections and reception in the Aachen film scene.
The 2025 premiere established the festival in the NRW film landscape. Despite being the first edition, a curated program with international recognition was achieved. The 2nd edition in 2026 will be significantly expanded — more days, more films, more sections.
