Overview

In 2025, Film ohne Grenzen once again brought together international filmmakers and a highly engaged audience at the Eibenhof in Bad Saarow for four days. Documentaries, feature films, and short films from around the world, film discussions, workshops for school classes, and the traditional Sunday Round with Gero von Boehm characterized the weekend. The festival once again confirmed its position as one of Germany's most atmospherically unique film festivals.

Film ohne Grenzen 2025 — Review

The 2025 edition continued the program line of previous years: International films exploring the possibilities and limits of human coexistence, complemented by film discussions with directors, actors, and producers. The Gero von Boehm Sunday Round was, as always, the festival highlight with prominent guests from German and international cinema. The Wolfgang Kohlhaase Scholarship was awarded to an aspiring young screenwriter. The mix of an intimate venue (Kulturscheune Eibenhof) and a high-quality international film selection once again made the Eibenhof on the Scharmützelsee the most vibrant small film festival in Brandenburg.
