The 35th edition of Film Festival Cologne brought around 30,000 visitors and the national and international film industry to Cologne. With the Filmpreis Köln, Filmpreis NRW, Hollywood Reporter Award, and Phoenix Preis, the festival remained a central event in the German film calendar.

The 35th edition in 2025 once again set highlights in the sections Best of Cinema Fiction, Documentary, LOOK (Series), and NRW Competition. The awards ceremonies formed the social peak — with high-caliber guests from Hollywood and the international industry. Industry conferences like European Series Day rounded off the program.
