In 2025, the LWL Open Air Museum Hagen once again hosted its themed weekend on metal processing and Westphalian crafts. The museum's continuous program development with annual themed weekends is one of the didactic highlights of the Westphalian museum landscape.
Themed Weekend 2025 at the Open Air Museum
In 2025, the LWL Open Air Museum Hagen continued its annual tradition of bringing the world of pre-industrial and early industrial Westphalia to life with themed weekends. Blacksmith demonstrations, water power demonstrations, workshops in action — the program was offered on several weekends throughout the year. The operator LWL (Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe) finances the museum as a regional cultural institution. The 2025 edition paved the way for the "Fire, Water, Hammer Blow" themed weekend on May 30–31, 2026.
