2025 was a preparation year for Leutenberg — the city administration and citizen groups organized the festival week for the 700th anniversary in 2026, which will be a unique event never to be held in this form again. Regular events — Walpurgis Night, summer festivals, markets — took place as usual.
Pre-Event — Preparation Year 2025
As the 2026 city anniversary has a unique character (700 years + 100 years of the outdoor pool), there was no comparable festival week in 2025. The city administration and citizen groups used the year to prepare for the 2026 festival: program planning, exhibitions, research into city history. The city's regular events — Walpurgis Night, summer festivals, the forest and meadow festival in September, Advent markets — took place as usual and shaped the 2025 event year.
