In 2025, Güstrow Cathedral once again served as a venue for the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Sacred vocal music, chamber concerts, and organ recitals took place under the high late Gothic vaulting during the summer of 2025, confirming the cathedral's importance as a cultural stage in the region.
During the 2025 Festival Summer, the cathedral was again used as a concert space. Since 1990, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been one of Europe's most important classical music festivals.
