Festspiele MV – Island Tour to Hiddensee — Edition 2025

The Island Tour to Hiddensee is one of the regular events in the programme of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. In 2025, the annual excursion again started at Schaprode harbour. From there, a ferry took guests to the car-free Baltic Sea island of Hiddensee, where a string quartet gave a short concert. After the joint lunch, a tour led through the Hiddensee artists' colony, whose history began around the turn of the century and made the island a refuge for painters, writers, and musicians. The combination of classical music, seafaring, and island culture once again made the day one of the most atmospheric experiences of the festival summer.
