Festival of Democracy – House of Bavarian History

The Festival of Democracy 2025 was the second edition of the event. It took place on October 3, 2025 – German Unity Day, when Germany celebrated 35 years of reunification – at Donaumarkt in front of the House of Bavarian History. From 9 AM to 6 PM, there was live music, workshops, street theatre, children's tours of the museum, and free admission to all exhibitions. The event thus established itself as an important democracy-focused date in the Bavarian cultural calendar and laid the groundwork for the significantly expanded three-day edition in 2026.
