The 17th Festival Junges Theater Lünen was celebrated in June 2025 at the Heinz-Hilpert-Theater. Despite a funding rejection, Theater Lünen e.V. managed to present a complete festival program — supported by the Lünen community.
The 2025 edition showed the festival's resilience: Despite funding difficulties, the JTL ran as a diverse program with young theatre groups from the Hellweg area. Audience response was strong — a confirmation of the format's importance for the regional youth theatre scene.
