Overview

Already in 2025, the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance Treptow-Köpenick invited to its annual festival at Michael-Brückner-Platz. For several hours, live music, discussion rounds, and stand offerings brought together around forty actors from the district in one place. The format, as a showcase of democratic engagement in southeastern Berlin, was confirmed as in previous years.

The 2025 edition followed the established daily rhythm: opening in the early afternoon, continuous stage program, panels on current district political issues, and a dense stand area with trade union, church, cultural, and anti-racist organizations. The atmosphere was focused, family-friendly, and politically aware – a combination that has characterized this neighbourhood festival for over two decades.

In 2025, Treptow-Köpenick once again presented itself as a district that actively makes democratic engagement visible. The festival remained an important date in Berlin's festival calendar and a point of reference for similar alliances in other districts and federal states.
