The 2025 Fest der Nationen once again took place on Wahlstedt's market square as an intercultural city festival under the motto of the Lions Club Wahlstedt. Market of Cultures, international stage program, street parade, children's play mile, and tombola — Wahlstedt's annual commitment to cultural diversity.

Review of Fest der Nationen 2025

The 2025 edition also followed the established format: street parade in the morning, Market of Cultures as the programmatic center, international stage program in the afternoon, children's play mile, grand tombola, and the grand fireworks display to conclude the evening.

The Lions Club Wahlstedt, as the organizer, once again demonstrated how a service club can organize a major city festival beyond commercial interests — with all proceeds going to local social projects. This makes the Fest der Nationen both a Volksfest and a social fundraising event — a hybrid form that characterizes Wahlstedt.
