Edition 2025 — Festival of Cultural Heritage

Already in 2025, Potsdam celebrated UNESCO World Heritage Day with the Festival of Cultural Heritage in front of the Brandenburg Gate. Around 40 associations and initiatives, a stage program with the Potsdam Music School and the Friedenskirche community, and numerous hands-on activities characterized the afternoon.

The 2025 Edition

In 2025, the Festival of Cultural Heritage established its format of stage program, hands-on activities, and networking of heritage stakeholders. The organizer is the association Kulturstadt Potsdam e.V. in cooperation with the City of Potsdam.

UNESCO World Heritage Day

UNESCO World Heritage Day is celebrated annually in Germany on the first Sunday in June. Potsdam — with its palaces and parks and Berlin Modernism, listed twice — is one of the most prominent German World Heritage cities.
