Overview

The Gaggenau Fastnacht 2025 once again continued the Swabian-Alemannic Fastnacht tradition with the grand processions in Bad Rotenfels, Hörden, and Ottenau. Around 100 costumed, masked, and witch groups paraded through Bad Rotenfels on Shrove Saturday, followed by Festhalle parties and Guggemusik late into the night.

Fastnacht 2025 in the Murg Valley

In 2025, Gaggenau again upheld the tradition of Swabian-Alemannic Fastnacht with an entire festival week of Narrenbaumsetzen, processions, and Fasentverbrennung. The Großer Fasentumzug Bad Rotenfels on Shrove Saturday once again attracted around 100 costumed and masked groups, music bands, and floats, parading through the historic town center to the Festhalle.

The processions in Hörden (with Swiss and Alsatian guest groups) on Shrove Sunday and in Ottenau on Shrove Tuesday rounded off the festival week, concluding with the traditional Fasentverbrennung in Bad Rotenfels on Tuesday evening. Festhalle parties with Guggemusik and dancing kept the spirits of the carnival-goers high until late into the night.
