Edition 2025 — Munich Carnival
Munich Carnival 2025 took place in its established multi-part format: the 18th Damische Ritter Carnival Parade on Carnival Sunday with a start at Frauenstraße towards Marienplatz, München Narrisch at Marienplatz and Stachus on the days before Ash Wednesday, and the Dance of the Market Women at Viktualienmarkt on Carnival Tuesday. Admission was free to all public program points.
Munich's 2025 carnival season followed the established concept: a central carnival parade, an open-air carnival in the city center, and the traditional Dance of the Market Women at Viktualienmarkt.
Over 50 groups — music bands, dance formations, carnival societies — participated in the Damische Ritter parade. München Narrisch, with two stages at Marienplatz and Stachus, attracted additional crowds with live bands and DJs. The Dance of the Market Women at Viktualienmarkt maintained its over 100-year-old tradition.
