Fackelschwimmen Heiligendamm

At the 16th Fackelschwimmen on July 25, 2025, numerous guests gathered at the Heiligendamm pier. The Bad Doberan water rescue service opened the evening with demonstrations from water rescue and activity stations, before the volunteer swimmers entered the Baltic Sea with burning torches as darkness fell.

As every year, the combination of rescue demonstrations and atmospheric light show attracted locals and holidaymakers alike to the promenade of Germany's oldest seaside resort. Admission was free, and drinks and snacks were offered for a donation.
