20th Europamarathon 2025 — Anniversary Edition

The 20th edition of the Europamarathon Görlitz-Zgorzelec in June 2025 brought together around 3,000 runners from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, and other European countries. The established cross-border route again led across the Old Town Bridge to Zgorzelec and back — with live music, refreshment stops, and great spectator support in both cities.

The anniversary underscored the marathon's role as the most visible sporting symbol of the European City concept. The 21st edition in 2026 builds seamlessly on this success.
