The BDZ Eurofestival Zupfmusik convened again for several days in 2025, bringing together over 1,000 plucked string musicians from across Europe for concerts, workshops, and masterclasses. As with every edition, the focus was on the spectrum from classical plucked orchestras to folk and crossover projects.

Eurofestival 2025

In 2025, the Eurofestival of the Bund Deutscher Zupfmusiker once again served as the central meeting point for the international plucked string music scene. For several days, musicians, teachers, composers, and youth orchestras from various European countries gathered to give concerts, attend workshops, and make music together.

For decades, the BDZ has maintained the tradition of hosting its Eurofestival in various German cities – a strategy that anchors plucked string music regionally and appeals to new audiences.
