Overview

In 2025, the Erntedankfest Kirchwerder once again attracted over 70,000 visitors to the Vier- und Marschlande. Three days of festivities, including Schlager Night on Saturday and the traditional parade on Sunday with over 50 decorated floats, 100 riders, and traditional costume groups in Vierländer attire, reaffirmed the event as Northern Germany's largest harvest festival parade.

The 2025 edition followed the established tradition: Harvest Thanksgiving Service in St. Severini Church, followed by a grand parade over 4.5 km from the Kirchwerder church tower to the Sülzbrack festival grounds, featuring over 50 decorated floats, around 100 riders, and traditional costume groups from the Vier- und Marschlande. The event was organized by the Förderverein Erntedankfest e.V. and the Gemeinschaft Vier- und Marschlande e.V.

With over 70,000 visitors, the festival confirmed its reputation as Northern Germany's largest harvest celebration and the most important traditional event in Hamburg's Bergedorf district.
