Overview
In 2025, the series of Erlangen district Kirchweihen once again attracted thousands of visitors to eleven districts. From Kriegenbrunn to Frauenaurach, clubs, fire departments, and residents celebrated their traditional Franconian Kärwa over four months. Despite changeable weather, the Erlangen districts once again proved their commitment to Franconian festival tradition.
The 2025 season followed the established sequence of eleven district Kirchweihen, spread throughout the summer and early autumn. Stadtrandsiedlung celebrated at the end of July, Tennenlohe and Büchenbach in August, and Frauenaurach marked the festive end of the season at the end of September with a large Kirchweih parade. Despite changeable weather, the Erlangen districts once again demonstrated their connection to Franconian festival tradition.
