Edition 2025 — Erfurt Carnival Parade
In 2025, the Erfurt Carnival Parade once again drew tens of thousands into the Old Town. The GEC and Erforfia jointly created a colourful procession of floats, guards, music clubs, and costumed citizen groups from Domplatz via Anger to Fischmarkt. The festive highlight of the season was once again the most important carnival event in Thuringia.
The 2024/25 Erfurt carnival season culminated in the traditional parade through the Old Town. Both major Erfurt carnival clubs marched together, with floats, bands, and guards delighting spectators along the route. Kamelle and Helau characterised the afternoon — the Erfurt Carnival once again proved that the Thuringian tradition is alive and excites both families and young people alike.
