Overview

The 83rd Erding Autumn Festival 2025 traditionally took place at the end of August and beginning of September on the Erding Volksfestplatz. For over ten days, the third largest folk festival in Upper Bavaria attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors from the Erding district, the greater Munich area, and all of Bavaria. Two large festival tents, the double-decker festival tent, amusement rides, horse races, and the traditional closing fireworks marked the festival week.

The 2025 edition once again confirmed the status of the Erding Autumn Festival as an important Wiesn event after the Oktoberfest and the Rosenheim Herbstfest. The parade, beer tapping, traditional costume and marksmen's parade, ten days of festival tent activities, and the grand closing fireworks were part of the program as every year.

The Erding Wiesn tradition has its roots in the early 19th century. In 2025, the historical connection to the town and district of Erding was maintained through the participation of traditional costume associations, shooting guilds, music bands, and cultural groups. The Erding Autumn Festival thus remains a central point of identity for Upper Bavarian folk festival culture.
