Overview

The Ellwangen Christmas Market 2025 took place on the 2nd Advent weekend. Around 50 decorated stalls along Marienstraße filled the baroque old town with a Christmas atmosphere. In wintery temperatures, mulled wine, Christmas pastries, and arts and crafts attracted thousands of visitors from the Ostalb district and neighboring regions.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition. Three days of festivities in Marienstraße with decorated wooden huts and stalls. St. Vitus Basilica and the historic burgher houses formed the striking backdrop, while fairy lights and fir garlands adorned the market axis.

Advent concerts in the basilica, a visit from St. Nicholas on Saturday, a torchlight procession by local children, and a dense program of choirs and brass ensembles accompanied the market. The mulled wine stands, bratwurst stations, and Advent pastry vendors characterized the culinary scene — an atmosphere that draws regular visitors to Ellwangen year after year.
