Overview

The ELLE & L's Festival did not have an edition in 2025. The European premiere is explicitly scheduled for August 2026 in Berlin. The organizers prepared the festival organizationally and programmatically in 2025 — licenses with Columbiahalle and Columbia Theater, booking concept, safety setup — without holding a first edition. The concept of a consistently female-curated multi-genre festival of European scale is a novelty, and the Berlin premiere in 2026 was specifically chosen as the first setting — no other European capital so clearly combines urban music scenes, diversity, and political-cultural openness for a consistently feminist festival concept.

2025 was the year of preparation for ELLE & L's — no edition took place. The organizers used this period to negotiate licenses with Columbiahalle and Columbia Theater, refine the booking concept, and programmatically build the 2026 premiere edition in Berlin. The choice of Berlin as the launch location is both symbolic and strategic: no other European capital so clearly combines urban music scenes, diversity, and political-cultural openness for a consistently feminist festival concept. The first live appearance will be on August 29–30, 2026, at Columbiahalle and Columbia Theater on Columbiadamm.
