Elbphilharmonie Summer

As in previous years, the Grand Hall of the Elbphilharmonie was in festival mode almost daily in August 2025. The curatorial line remained consistent: high international quality, a specific focus on young orchestras, and occasional excursions into other genres.

Since the venue's opening in 2017, the festival series has established itself as a summer anchor. It attracts both Hamburg residents and tourists, and for many travellers, it is one of the main reasons to visit Hamburg in the second half of August.
