Edition 2025 — Eibenstock Fairytale Christmas Market
The Eibenstock Fairytale Christmas Market 2025 traditionally took place on the 1st Advent weekend. The grand fairytale procession on Saturday with around 300 actors and 30 fairytales was once again the highlight, complemented by the Christmas market at Postplatz, Advent concerts in the town church, and the fairytale-themed city center lighting.
Fairytale Christmas Market 2025
In 2025, the Fairytale Christmas Market once again transformed the mining town of Eibenstock into a fairytale setting on the first Advent weekend. The fairytale procession on Saturday afternoon, with around 300 actors on floats, horse-drawn carriages, and on foot, attracted thousands of visitors from all over the Ore Mountains. Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Cinderella, and many other fairytale characters came to life — a tradition that has made Eibenstock famous far beyond the town limits. The actual Christmas market around Postplatz offered Eibenstock embroidery, Ore Mountains handicrafts, and culinary specialties.
