Edition 2025 — EFFEKTE Karlsruhe
In even-numbered years (like 2025), the monthly EFFEKTE series 'Science Tuesday' takes place with lectures and discussions on current research topics. The next major festival week EFFEKTE, as scheduled, occurs every two years — the next full festival week in 2026 under the motto 'Karlsruhe Visions of the Future'. The ZKM edition EFFEKTE 2025 ran in May 2025 as accompanying program.
EFFEKTE Series 2025
Since EFFEKTE is held biennially, 2025 did not feature the full festival, but rather the continuous EFFEKTE series with monthly events on 'Science Tuesday' and accompanying formats at ZKM and research institutions.
The series serves as a bridge between the major festival weeks: each month features a lecture, discussion, or show night on a current research topic. From May 16 to 24, 2025, a special weekend program 'EFFEKTE 2025 at ZKM' was held at ZKM. The City of Karlsruhe announced the next full festival week for May 17-25, 2026.
