Edition 2025 — Sprottentage
The Sprottentage 2025 once again attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the Schiffbrücke at Whitsun. Four days of live music, smoked sprats, Hanseatic cog tours, and sporting competitions transformed Eckernförde into the harbour festival mecca of the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast.
In Whitsun 2025, the smoked specialties of the Eckernförde sprat were once again the focus. Numerous regional bands performed on the harbour mile, the Sprottendörp attracted families with craft activities, and the Kiel Hanseatic cog set sail several times a day from the Schiffbrücke. The German Open-Water SUP Championship also brought the national elite of stand-up paddlers to the bay — a spectacle that draws thousands of onlookers to the promenade every year.
