Overview

The Eckernförde Christmas Market 2025 ran from November 24th to December 30th, 2025, around St. Nicolai Church. Highlights included the St. Nicholas Rally on December 6th, the Lucia procession on December 14th, and concerts by local choirs, rock bands, and ukulele groups during Advent. Free admission.

The 2025 edition continued the proven format with wooden huts, regional gastronomy, a carousel, and stage program. The market was open daily from 12 PM to 9 PM and attracted day-trippers from Kiel, Flensburg, and Schleswig to the town center. St. Nicolai Church itself was also open for visits on several days and offered short services and concerts.

As in previous years, the St. Nicholas Rally with Drums & Pipes and the Lucia procession were highlights of the program — a tradition reflecting the Nordic influence of the nearby Danish border.
