Overview

In 2025, the Eckental Kerwa series also spanned five months. The seven districts celebrated their Kirchweihen according to the traditional calendar — Eckenhaid marked the opening in early summer, and Herpersdorf the finale in October. The municipality of Eckental thus ranks among the most Kerwa-dense communities in Middle Franconia.

As every year, the seven districts of Eckental celebrated their individual Kirchweih in 2025. Eckenhaid opened the season in June, followed by Oberschöllenbach in July, then Brand, Eschenau, and Benzendorf in August and September, and finally Forth and Herpersdorf in October. Each Kerwa had its own atmosphere: village-like, down-to-earth, with associations, festival hosts, and the parish community as the driving forces.

The Eckental Kerwa tradition is deeply rooted and shapes community life throughout the entire summer half-year.
