Overview

The Schmelzertag 2025 took place on Ascension Day, May 29. The smelting facility was fired up, with mine tours featuring Mystallica, blacksmiths, gold panning, and a farmers' market shaping the day.

On May 29, 2025, the Düppenweiler Historic Copper Mine once again fired up its complete smelting facility. Smelters, mine supervisors, and members of the Friends' Association demonstrated copper production using 18th-century methods from 10 AM to 6 PM.

In parallel, gold panning stations for children, a farmers' market, blacksmiths, and mine tours with the Mystallica installation were open. The day attracted numerous families and industrial history enthusiasts from across the Saarland and the neighboring Moselle region.
