The 591st edition of the Dresdner Striezelmarkt took place from November 26 to December 24, 2025, on the Altmarkt. Over 200 vendors, the world's largest walk-in Christmas pyramid, the traditional Stollenfest with the giant Stollen cutting on December 6, and the festive miners' parade characterized the season.
Striezelmarkt 2025 — A Season of Tradition
The 591st edition of the Dresdner Striezelmarkt opened on November 26, 2025, with the traditional Stollen cutting and attracted millions of visitors to the Saxon state capital until Christmas Eve. The highlight was the Stollenfest on December 6 with the giant Stollen parade — followed by the ceremonial cutting on the Altmarkt.
The world's largest walk-in Christmas pyramid from Eibenstock, the historic Ferris wheel, the walk-in Christmas arch, and over 200 stalls offering Erzgebirge folk art, Pulsnitz gingerbread, and original Dresdner Christstollen once again shaped the image of the famous pre-Christmas season.
