Overview

The 51st Drachselsried Kirwa 2025 took place as every year on the last weekend of August — four days of Bavarian Forest folk festival with beer tapping, the patronal feast of St. Aegidius, a large market, and Nachkirwa. One of the largest Kirchweih festivals in the region.

The 51st Drachselsried Kirwa 2025 ran in its usual format over four days from Friday to Monday. The festival began on Friday with the Zellertal band, a brewery wagon parade, and the mayor's beer tapping in the festival hall, marking the start of the festival week.

The highlight, as always, was Saturday with the festive church service for the patronal feast of St. Aegidius and the large market with over 150 vendors. Sunday featured a morning pint, a family program, and a festival evening, followed by the traditional Nachkirwa on Monday. One of the largest and most traditional Kirwas in the Bavarian Forest.
