Overview

The Drachenfest Laboe 2025 traditionally took place in mid-April on Laboe Sports Beach. With the usual wind from the Kiel Fjord, numerous giant kites once again took to the skies over the Baltic Sea, and the night flying on Saturday evening attracted thousands of spectators to the beach. As always, organised by Tourismus Laboe / Laboe Events on the Sports Beach between the swimming pool and the Old Reading Hall.

Kites 2025

The 2025 Kite Festival continued the long-standing spring tradition. Giant kite teams from Germany and Denmark presented their constructions on Laboe Sports Beach, and the weather cooperated for a kite festival. The highlight, as always, was the night flying on Saturday evening with illuminated kites against the backdrop of the Fjord and the Naval Memorial.
