Overview

Doc.Berlin 2025: four festival days at Babylon Berlin cinema (December 8–11, 2025) with around 30 international documentary films. Online streaming of films from December 1 to 18, 2025. International selection featuring films like "Yalla, Baba!" (Angie Obeid) and "Tokyo Toy Boy" (Esli Balatova).

The 2025 edition ran from December 8 to 11, 2025, at Babylon Berlin, with parallel online streaming access from December 1 to 18, 2025. The program included around 30 international short and feature films—including Angie Obeid's "Yalla, Baba!" (co-production Belgium/Lebanon/Netherlands/Qatar) and Esli Balatova's "Tokyo Toy Boy" (Belgium).

As always, Doc.Berlin focused on an international selection highlighting current social issues—migration, identity, labor, climate, cultural tensions. Most screenings were accompanied by Q&A sessions with the directors. Tickets were moderately priced, with a festival pass available for multiple screenings. The hybrid format of on-site festival at Babylon and online streaming once again proved to be a successful model for a committed documentary festival with global ambitions.
