One of Germany's oldest and largest equestrian tournaments — 118th edition from August 13th to 16th, 2026
The Dobrock Tournament in Wingst is one of Germany's oldest and most traditional equestrian events. The 2026 edition is the 118th — a continuity that is unparalleled in German equestrian sport. The organizer is the Reitverein Dobrock Wingst, and the venue is the Dobrock riding facility in the Cuxland municipality of Wingst.
The 2026 tournament runs from Thursday, August 13th to Sunday, August 16th, 2026. Four days of a packed competition schedule in two disciplines — dressage and show jumping — at national and international level.
The Dobrock Tournament is designated as CSN/CDN: national and international show jumping competitions (CSN) as well as dressage tests (CDN). With around 3,000 starts over the four tournament days, it is a logistical and sporting scale that few tournaments in Germany achieve.
The importance of the tournament is also reflected in its recognition by the governing bodies: German Championships are regularly held at Dobrock. The high standard of the competitions and the infrastructure of the riding facility have earned the tournament this status.
The facility in Wingst has several jumping arenas, dressage arenas, warm-up areas, stable tents, and grandstands. The grounds at the foot of the Wingst ridge (Dobrock) offer a scenically attractive backdrop — unusual for the otherwise flat Cuxland marshland.
Wingst is one of the most scenically attractive places in the Cuxhaven district. The ridge with the Dobrock observation tower, the wildlife park, and the forests stands out clearly from the surrounding marshland. Equestrian sport has developed its own tradition here — the Dobrock Tournament is its most visible expression.
The exact 2026 competition program will be published by the Reitverein Dobrock in advance (pferdesport-deutschland.de + dobrock-turnier.de). The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
Dobrock Riding Facility, 21789 Wingst. Via the A 27 (Stinstedt exit) or A 1 (via Cadenberge/Hemmoor). Parking available at the tournament grounds.
Day tickets available on-site and via the official website. Spectator areas along the arenas.
Study the program booklet online to avoid missing your favorite competitions (e.g., Grand Prix, International Show Jumping). The Wingst hills are well suited for a day trip.
