Overview

The 2nd Döbeln Night of Culture took place in May 2025 starting at 4 PM on the Mulde island and in the city center. Over 30 artists performed at around 20 different venues with choirs, theater, organ concerts, and bands — mostly free of charge, with donation tickets from €10. Main sponsors were Karls and Stadtwerke Döbeln.

Döbeln Night of Culture 2025

The 2nd edition of the Night of Culture built upon the successful start in 2024. With over 30 artists at around 20 venues, the Döbeln city center and Mulde island transformed into an open festival stage starting at 4 PM. Classical music in St. Nicolai City Church, theater performances by the Mittelsächsisches Theater, live bands on the Mulde island main stage, and readings in courtyards and the city library — the program was diverse and appealed to generations across the community. The donation ticket model kept the event accessible while simultaneously funding artists and organizers.
