Overview

The 53rd edition of the International Dixieland Festival Dresden once again attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city center. For a week, Dixieland, Swing, and Traditional Jazz dominated the cityscape – with international bands on stages along the Elbe, in halls, and on paddle steamers.

53rd Edition

With numerous bands from Europe and overseas, the 2025 festival once again offered a packed program. The Jazz Mile with its open-air stages and the special concerts in halls like the Kulturpalast and the Schauspielhaus attracted an enthusiastic audience. The Riverboat Shuffles on the historic Elbe steamers were also highlights of the festival week.

Tradition Meets Internationality

As every year, the festival combined musical tradition with an international focus. Bands from the USA, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Germany shaped the program and filled Dresden with the sounds of Traditional Jazz.
