DiS# – Dortmund Inclusive Sound Festival

The DiS# Dortmund Inclusive Sound Festival is conceived as a biennial event. The penultimate main edition took place in 2024; 2025 was planned as an interim year. During this interim year, the organiser gesamtkunstwerk e.V. used the time to prepare the tenth anniversary edition in 2026, build new partnerships, and rethink the festival concept: moving away from a compact weekend towards a three-month programme season.

The festival ensembles, such as Tanzorchester Paschulke, Piano Plus, and Collective One, performed sporadically in Dortmund and the region throughout 2025 — at local inclusion days, neighbourhood gatherings in Nordstadt, and conferences on cultural participation. These appearances kept the festival network alive and built momentum for the major 2026 anniversary edition.
